Procurement Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS)

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing procurement activities, collaborating with global stakeholders, and contributing to the success of critical projects. You’ll be an essential part of the AWS Infrastructure Planning and Services (IPS) team, handling a wide range of procurement tasks from both pre- and post-contract phases. This includes managing supplier communications, auditing data, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Amazon Hiring Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily volumes of procurement tasks and ensure compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
- Conduct audits and correct any discrepancies in the system or defected pages.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and Procurement Managers to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, updating trackers to reflect the progress and completion of work.
- Support the setup of new customer-focused programs by assisting with pilots and other initiatives.
- Proactively identify potential SLA or quality issues, and promptly escalate to the manager or subject matter expert (SME).
Core Duties:
- Handle procurement tasks with attention to detail and within specified timelines.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
- Track and document day-to-day tasks to ensure transparency and accountability in procurement operations.
- Contribute to time-sensitive projects, maintaining focus on both quality and deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.
